zz-novel (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the zz-novel web application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

By using zz-novel, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture via Clerk authentication (supporting Google, Apple, and email sign-in).

Content You Create: Story prompts, generated stories, and reading preferences you provide are stored to power the service.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, features used) only if you consent to analytics cookies.

Payment Information: Payment data is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Stories generated by zz-novel are created using Google Gemini AI models. Your story prompts and generated content may be processed by our AI infrastructure. We do not use your content to train AI models.

In accordance with the EU AI Act, all content generated by zz-novel is labeled as AI-generated.

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the United States. EU users' data may be routed to EU-region infrastructure where available.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Export your stories in TXT or PDF format
• Opt-out: Opt out of analytics tracking at any time via cookie settings
• CCPA (California): You have the right to know what data we collect and to opt out of data sale (we do not sell data)

zz-novel is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use our service.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
